Thirty-four artists will open their creative spaces to the public to show their work and discuss their creative processes during the Open Your Eyes Studio Tour.  The tour takes place in the towns of Sharon, Salisbury/Lakeville, North Canaan & Falls Village on Saturday, June 23 from 10 – 5 pm and Sunday, June 24 from 10 – 4 pm and is free to the public.

A Preview Party for the Tour, free for anyone interested in the tour, will be held Saturday, June 9, 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Hollenbeck Room at Geer Village, North Canaan, CT.  RSVPs are requested and more information is available at  Tour goers that pre-register for a nominal fee of $10 will receive a handy tote filled with goodies including a map, suggested itineraries and special offers from local eateries.

The Open Your Eyes Studio Tour artists are Joey Jablonski, Bernie Re, Janet Newman, Judy Wyer, Frank Grusauskas, Battle Hill Forge, Carol Hart, Sergei Fedorjaczenko, Clifton Jaeger, John Pirnak, Karin Gerstel, Nunwell Glass, Patricia Decker, Warren Prindle, Alistair Jones, Shaari Horowitz, Ellen Griesedieck, Judy Albright, Pieter Lefferts, Kate Stiassni, Will Trowbridge, Nancy Zarider, Lilly Woodworth, Randy Orzano, Mary Close, Diane Schapira, Joel Schapira, John Atchley, Roger McKee, Serena Granbery, Marjory Reid, Dorothy Fox, Lynn Curtis and Geer Village’s resident artists.  

The tour is organized by the Northwest Connecticut Arts Council and sponsored by Sharon Hospital, Housatonic Heritage, Goulet Printery, Geer, The White Gallery, Lime Rock Park, and Salisbury General Story/Passports, media sponsors Housatonic Publications and WSHU Radio, with additional support from Alcoa Howmet, The Hills Magazine, Founders Group, Salisbury Bank & Trust, the Lakeville Journal Group and the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development/Office of the Arts.
