For the month of June, the David M. Hunt Library in Falls Village will present an exhibition of new abstract paintings by John Hodgson, a young and talented emerging artist whose use of classic brush techniques combined with non-traditional tools and methods create paintings that are compelling, beautiful, and bold.  A reception for the artist will be held on Friday, June 8 from 5pm to 7pm.

Mr. Hodgson began creating art in the fall of 2007. He developed unique painting techniques while working with several art instructors, including his current teacher, Baris Gokturk. Artists who have seen his work have expressed their admiration for the purity and freedom with which he paints. Through his work, John shows that people on the autism spectrum, like him, have much to contribute to their communities.

John's paintings are included in private collections in Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.  His supporters and fans are working to share his incredible art with a wider audience, in hopes of spreading his positive message.
