Everyone in the Pool!

The pool opened today as promised. If you don't know how to find it, the entrance is next to the transfer station on Route 63 (between Routes 126 & 7)

The pool is everything we could have hoped for. Some would even say "well worth the wait". I hope everyone will make thier way to the pool this week, if not to swim, at least to see how beautiful it is. It is wonderful to see all of our children gathered in one place again just having fun.

Next week the YMCA is sponsoring a Lifeguard class for anyone 16 and older who is interested. They hope to attract some local people who are looking for employment. The class cost $50. Details are posted at the pool.

The pool is fantastic. Many thanks for the huge, kid-friendly shallow end. Bea is telling everyone she sees about it & can't wait to go back.

Many thanks to Tim Downs and all the other wonderful people who built us this fantastic facility!

I hope everyone will come down and see how wonderful and beautiful the new pool is!!! I grew up at the old Rec center with the shallow and deep ends and loved every second I spent there. I know this is a new facility but I love how it has parts of the old pool incorporated into its design!! I hope everyone will love swimming there as much as I love working there!!

Also, like Andrea said, the YMCA will be offering a lifeguarding class next week in order to help staff the facility!! It is a great opportunity for parents and teens (16+) to make some summer money especially if they are going to be spending a lot of time at the pool anyways. I would enjoy having some Falls Village faces on staff!!! There is a bit more information about the class posted at the pool so swing by if you are interested or if you want to sign up!!

See everyone at the pool!!

I was at the pool yesterday (Thursday) on the second day of operation and got a pretty good photo of Tyler Dean doing a flip. Click here to see it. And yes, Steve and Melody, high-resolution prints are available at $1,000 apiece. Hey, I've got to pay for my gas somehow, right?

I have had so much fun meeting all of you and making sure your questions are answered when you are at our town pool. I look forward to meeting more townspeople to fill out forms for resident passes so we all can have fun and enjoy the fountain of youth our town has to offer.
Please make sure you say hello to me as you enter the world of peace and relxation!
